Just 24 hours after Alton Sterling, another man in Minnesota has been shot by police.
His girlfriend went on Facebook live as soon as the incident happened.
She claims her boyfriend informed the cop he had a gun and was licensed to carry, then told the officer he was going to retrieve his license and registration the officer requested.
Once he reached for it, the officer shot him 4 times.
You can hear the officer freaking out on the video. The officer “asked him for license and registration,” she says. Mangseth said the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been called in to investigate.
What makes this even more disturbing, there was a child in the car at the time. “He told him that it was in his wallet, but he had a pistol on him because he’s licensed to carry. As he was putting his hands back up, the officer shot him in the arm four or five times.” The video shows a uniformed police officer holding a pistol on the couple from outside the car.
The officer can be heard to say, “I told him not to reach for it. He’s not a gang member, anything.” The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
I told him to get his hand out.” Reynolds says in the video that her boyfriend was shot by a Roseville police officer; in the video, several cities’ squad cars are visible but it wasn’t possible tell which cities they were from.
