We are open to all ages and members in the community, but our concentration is in educating, advocating, and serving the needs of the fifty-plus LGBTQ population. Thursday May 26 Special Event: pm – pm SAGEVets host a free screening of award-winning “Coming Out Under Fire.” The film explores the unforgiving US military policy regarding gay and lesbian soldiers during WWII. SAGE operates out of the Gay Alliance LGBTQ Resource Center, 100 College Avenue 14607.
As an affiliate of SAGE USA (Services and Advocacy for GLBTQI Elders) we receive up-to-the-minute information on research and policy issues that effect older adults and have access to state and national resources. Sunday May 22 pm – pm Euchre Sunday Social at the Center. Monday May 23 pm, Monday Movie Meet Up at the Dryden, 900 East Avenue 14607. All programs are open to the public and all are welcome.
SAGEWorks assists people 40 years and older in learning relevant, cutting edge job search skills in a LGBT friendly environment. Tuesday May 17 am -am Yoga with Tom; pm – pm: Catered lunch, LINQ presentation on local bus tours. Yoga is $5.00 per person and is offered every Tuesday and Thursday unless specified in calendar.
While you do not have to identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender to participate, you must be willing to work in a completely LGBT-Friendly Environment. .00 donation, Gay Alliance LGBTQ Resource Center. All programs are subject to change and all members are responsible for their own transportation and meals.
Our regular programming takes place at the Gay Alliance LGBT Resource Center, 100 College Ave., Rochester NY 14607. Hands on development and prioritization of next SAGE initiatives, looking at communication, outreach, transportation, housing, social services, friendly visitor & calling programs.
